If you have been looking for an opportunity to spend purposeful, quality time with God apart from your familiar environment, then FUEL is the Discipleship Training School for you. 

High-powered and intense, FUEL is designed to help you fill up on what you need for your Christian life, while giving you the opportunity to go out and put what you learn into immediate practice – and all that in just four months!

Here’s what you can expect from FUEL:

Equipping- We place a high emphasis on practical discipleship, especially in the areas of character building, serving, and evangelism.  Each of the lessons provides a fundamental biblical basis while still maintaining a focus on life application.  For these reasons, FUEL can be the foundation for working in your home church, in missions or with Steiger International.

Teaching- Mornings are dedicated to learning with one another through group Bible study, interaction, and prayer.  You will also spend two full days a week devoted to intensely learning about special topics.

Seeking God- The goal of our school is to help bring you closer to God.  To make sure this happens we have reserved time every morning for you to spend with God and an entire morning once a week where you can get to know Him better.     

Community Living- You will be living in a community house in the city center of Karlsruhe. This style of living is a learning tool that can change you personally.  It also provides many opportunities for you to ask questions and discuss subjects that are on your heart.  

Application- You will work during the week on Steiger projects or with fellow churches and organizations.  In addition to learning to serve, you will also discover and improve your gifts and abilities and become acquainted with various practical work techniques. 

Outreach- FUEL offers two extended periods of outreach where you put what you have learned into practice.  Each outreach is two weeks long.  The first will take place in another European country; the second in Germany.   

Costs: Tuition, room and board are 350 Euros per month.  (School materials, such as books, are not included in this amount).  Additionally, each student will need to pay for housing, transportation and food during the outreach time (aprox. 700 Euros).  You will also need to make sure that you are insured during your time at the school.  Please be familiar with the international policies of your insurance company before you arrive.

Application fees are as follows:

15 Euros before January 1st, 2009; 50 Euros before February 1st, 2009; 100 Euros February 2nd and after.

The possibility of receiving a monthly scholarship from Steiger is available.  This opportunity is only considered upon a review of your financial situation.

Language:  The school is in English.    

Steiger International is a non-denominational organization with the goal of reaching young people in their own culture and language.  In Germany this goal is presently being realized through missions work in various cultural mediums (bands, clubs, concerts, music firms), church planting, and community living with rehabilitative possibilities.  www.steiger.org
